Merritt Island ISR
*Swim*Float*Swim*
Welcome to Merritt Island ISR, where we take pride in giving children life-saving skills along with the confidence and competence to enjoy the aquatic environment. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4, and we believe that the best prevention is early intervention. Merritt Island ISR not only provides the safest swim lessons for each individual child, but also sets students up for a lifetime of loving the water.
Lessons
All lessons are one-on-one allowing special attention to each child's individual needs. Students come to lessons 5 days a week, for 10 minutes at a time, for an average of 6 weeks. As lessons are student led, some children may finish earlier while others may need a little extra time to complete the desired skill set.

Swim Float Swim
12 Months- 6 Years Old
*and meeting all necessary milestones
Students older than 12 months old will learn the swim-float-swim sequence. This means that they will learn to swim with their face down in the water, roll over to float, then resume swimming until they reach safety.
*With safety being my first priority, if your child is not quite ready for the full sequence they will learn to swim-float-stay.

Float
6 Months and Older
Students as young as 6 months old will learn how to float independently. They will also learn how to roll into a floating position from several presentations simulating falling into a body of water.

Refreshers
To Keep Skills Fresh
All students are recommended to come back for refresher lessons once a year, or as needed, after completing the swim-float-swim sequence. At these young ages, they are growing so fast and we want to make sure that their skills match their bigger bodies throughout the years.

Merritt Island ISR Instructor Spotlight
Ms. Kasey is a Florida native and moved down to Merritt Island from Jacksonville in 2016. She is married to a first responder and has four children- 3 daughters and 1 son. When Ms. Kasey is not in the pool teaching, you can still often find her near the water, whether swimming with her own kids, boating, or at the beach! A big believer in the law of attraction, you will be sure to feel Ms. Kasey's encouragement and excitement throughout lessons.

Kasey has been a blessing to my family. I had been riddled with anxiety about my pool and my toddler but was also anxious to put my medically complex heart child in ISR. She has a lot of sensory problems and laying back in the water was a struggle for her even in the bath.
I needn’t have worried. My daughter took to Kasey right away. Kasey went slowly and earned her trust. In no time at all my daughter wanted to “lay back” (float) ALL THE TIME. My daughter asks to go see Kasey everyday and loves showing off her new skills in the pool.
My experience with ISR and Kasey was amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to put any kid in the program.
